Radio is about more than just doing a show....it's a team effort

VandyRadio is charting a new course this year – a slightly different one than other college radio stations around the country.  What we’ve done is create a radio station format that is extremely Vandy-centric.  We’re playing music students like but we’re also informing them with news and sports updates.  We’re entertaining them with contests and giveaways.  We’re broadcasting live sports events and taking shows outside of the studio to big events on campus.  

But in order for us to do that, we need a team committed to the goal of building a great product?  How do we do that?  Take a look at some descriptions of how you could be involved.

If you want to do a show, you can have a pretty good time doing that.  But if you want to join a team bent on having a great time – and showing the campus and the world what Vanderbilt means to us – you can have an absolute blast.

If you are interested in any of the above positions, please fill out this application to let us know of your desire to be a part of VandyRadio.    Even if you desire to be a part of VandyRadio a little or a lot, you can make a massive impact for Vanderbilt by helping support the school as a whole while also bringing a sense of community to the student body.  This is a great opportunity to be visible, be heard and make a real impact on the Vanderbilt community.

Though there are not deadlines for the application below, there are two dates to be aware of.

August 25 – we’ll be having an interest meeting for anyone interested in being a part of VandyRadio.  That meeting will be at 4PM in Sarratt 116 (the VU Television Studio across from the VandyRadio studio).

September 1 – Applications are due for all positions.  However, if no one applies for a position, anyone can apply for that position after September 1 – so this application will stay up on this page until all positions are filled.

September 5 – Those selected for positions on VandyRadio’s staff will be notified on or before this date.
