Meet Sky Hooley, a junior from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She is our Station Manager and the host of Sky’s The Limit, which airs Mondays at 3pm on VandyRadio. Get to know Sky through the Q&A below!

What is your major and minor?

I’m a sociology major and I’m minoring in data science, business, and Spanish. 

How would you describe your radio show?

Sky’s The Limit is an immersive experience into the world of R&B, reggaetón and rap, with pop culture references and personal anecdotes along the way.

Why should people listen to your show? 

I’ll put you on the best songs of the year!

How long have you been in VandyRadio? 

I’ve been a member of VandyRadio for two years.

What’s your favorite thing about VandyRadio? 

My favorite thing is the sheer expression of creativity. I can be myself in VandyRadio. 

Who are your favorite and most listened to artists?

My top artist is Giveon. My other favorites are Bad Bunny, Brent Faiyaz, and KAYTRANA.

Some of my favorite songs are Evergreen by Omar Apollo, Intimidated by KAYTRANADA, Make You Mine by Giveon, Titi Me Preguntó by Bad Bunny, and Clouded by Brent Faiyaz. 

What has been your favorite release of 2022?

My favorite is Giveon’s newest album (called Give or Take).

What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?

The best concert I’ve been to is Rolling Loud 2022. 

What’s your dream concert?

My dream concert would be attending Kanye’s Sunday Service.

What’s your favorite guilty pleasure music?

My favorite guilty pleasure music is Lana Del Rey.

My favorite is Suzie’s! I run a Suzie’s fan account on Instagram (@suziesenthusiast). 

What’s your favorite spot or thing to do in Nashville?

My favorite spot is the Sage Refill Market.

What’s a fun fact people may not know?

 I’ve climbed Mount Kilimanjaro.

What’s a hot take you have?

Pineapple belongs on pizza.
